In 2005, Jared Flood started Brooklyn Tweed, a blog for knitters. By 2010, he had created his first yarn, and Brooklyn Tweed had flourished into a hugely respected company that also provided yarn-lovers with exciting and innovative patterns designed by the brightest sparks in the knitting community. Today, Brooklyn Tweed is known worldwide for its distinctive and tactile range of high-quality yarns all proudly and ethically sourced, dyed and spun in the US.
The Targhee-Columbia sheep that produce the fleece live happily on the plains of Johnson County, Wyoming and are used to create the yarns Shelter, Arbor and Peerie, which we are very proud to stock. We also have available an exciting range of patterns and collections by our favourite Brooklyn Tweed designers.
