Colourwork Knitting


Explore the possibilities of colourful patterns by learning how to knit stranded colourwork. Learn different methods to knit with two colours, and how to select yarn and create interesting colour combinations. Knitters will knit sampler wristlets.

Skill Level: advanced beginner/ intermediates; knowledge of how to knit, purl and knitting in the round

Instructor: Aleks Byrd

Aleks Byrd is a knitwear designer and illustrator. She draws inspiration from her Estonian heritage and love of Nordic style into eye catching colourwork patterns. She has published patterns online and the book Color & Knit, Mittens.
Materials:  Approximately 20g 2 colours of DK weight yarn  preferably non-superwash  and corresponding needle size (suggested 4mm) to knit in the round (DPNS or circular needles for magic loop)
