Garthenor Pentland

A Yarn Story is delighted to be stocking Pentland, a pure organic Romney lambswool yarn, sourced from a single flock in Wiltshire, UK.

For this truly special yarn, Garthenor sorts and grades the fleece at its farm in Mid Wales, with only the finest fibres chosen. The fleece is then woollen spun in New Lanark, Scotland, and dyed in Yorkshire.

Tactile Pentland shows off a splendid twist and comes in a beautiful range of hand-dyed colours, from classic neutrals to more contemporary shades and marls, ideal for sweaters and accessories.

All the steps in the production of Pentland – from sheep to skein – are fully certified to Global Organic Textile Standards, which ensures each process is kind to animals, the environment, and to people.
