Gather BFL Sock
No knitter’s stash should be without these incredibly special yarns created with love by talented London-based indie-dyer Mette Lindahl-Wise.
Taking inspiration (and ingredients) from her environments in London and the coast of Denmark, Mette forages for plants, as well as using vegetable leaves, food waste (such as onion peel) and other raw plant materials, to create the dyes for her gorgeous yarn bases.
When she is hand-dyeing, Mette uses both British and Nordic traditions to achieve shades that are full of depth and warmth.
BFL Sock has been created using fibres from British sheep and comes with added nylon for long-lasting strength for your socks, shawls and scarves. This yarn comes in a gorgeous subtle palette of classic complementary shades with brighter options available too.
Mette has taken great care to select plants that are proven to provide colourfast dyes. These soft shades are also lightfast but, like all dyes, may change and develop over time if subjected to sustained and direct light.
