IMPORTANT: Yarn quantities are suggestions and will vary depending on the length at the ankle and the length of the foot which are worked to your measurements. Sample is 5th size with an ankle measuring 18cm/7in to the heel and 21.5cm/ 8.5in from the heel to the toe and required 136g of yarn.
18 sts and 16 rows in stitch pattern in the round to 10 cm/4 in using 6mm hook (or size needed to achieve tension)

working short rows (fully explained in pattern), slip stitching to seam together.
Worked from the cuff down the ribbing is worked back and forth in rows, stitches are picked up from the row ends and the ankle is worked in the round to the traditional heel flap with short rows used to turn the heel, stitches are picked up from row ends and instep to toe is worked in the round.
