TARTAN 3 is a magnificent 100% wool carded yarn, machine washable. The colors are mottled, tone on tone, bright and deep. The manufacturing principle takes the raw wool is dyed in the fibre, then mixed with unbleached wool, in three different proportions. Each blend is then spun and then twisted. Thus with a single dye bath, three colors are created, consistent and gradated. Along the way, the ecological footprint of the dyeing operations is strongly reduced. TARTAN 3 is a subtle, soft and bulky yarn, assembled in 3 plys.

Speedy delivery
I used this yarn to knit up a Petite Knit April cardigan. The yarn is a lovely colour and I really like the variation in shade throughout the yarn, including some really light flecks scattered though it. I'm a relatively new knitter, so I don't have lots of yarn experience, but I did find it an enjoyable yarn to knit with. The resulting fabric is lovely and soft, particularly after blocking.
