Soft Silk Mohair is a gorgeous lace weight yarn that knits up beautifully when held double with a companion yarn such as Heavy Merino or Compatible Cashmere. Best of all, it is certified sustainable and RMS (Responsible Mohair Standard) so you can feel great about your environmental footprint when knitting up a new wardrobe with this lovely yarn.
The mohair is sourced from angora goats bred in South Africa and the silk is cruelty free. The silk fibres are collected from cocoons after the chrysalises are allowed to mature into moths and escape. This means that the silk worms are not killed in the process as they are in conventional silk production.
Knitting for Olive yarns are traceable back to the individual farms, which means they know exactly which farms, farmers, and goats their wool comes from.
