Retreat Terms & Conditions

By booking a retreat and paying a deposit, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Booking & Deposit
Your place on a retreat is secured once the required deposit payment has been received.
Deposit amounts vary depending on the event and will be clearly stated at the time of booking.
All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Payment of a deposit confirms your commitment to attend the retreat and to pay the remaining balance.
Payment Schedule
The remaining balance will be payable according to the payment schedule outlined for your specific retreat.
For some retreats, this will be a single balance payment due prior to the event. For others, payment may be split into instalments. Full details will be provided at the time of booking.
If any scheduled payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and release your place to another guest. In this case, the deposit will not be refunded.
Bookings made after a scheduled payment date may require payment of any outstanding balance at the time of booking.
Pricing
All retreat prices are listed per person unless otherwise stated and include the elements outlined in the retreat description.
Room categories and pricing vary by retreat and will be clearly detailed on the booking page.
Programme Changes
We reserve the right to make changes to the retreat programme where necessary.
This may include changes to:
- teachers
- class content
- schedule
- activities or venues
Such changes may occur due to illness, travel disruption, or circumstances beyond our control.
Where possible, suitable alternatives will be arranged.
Retreat Cancellation by Organiser
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a retreat, all payments made for the retreat will be refunded in full.
We are not responsible for any additional costs incurred, including travel or accommodation outside of the retreat booking.
Participant Cancellation
Deposits are non-refundable.
If you cancel your place:
- Before the balance due date: your deposit will not be refunded
- After the balance due date: the full retreat fee remains payable
If we are able to fill your place from a waitlist or another guest, we may refund payments made minus the deposit, at our discretion.
Once the Retreat Has Begun
Once the retreat has commenced, no refund or partial refund will be issued for any unused portion of the retreat.
Travel & Insurance
Guests are responsible for arranging their own travel to and from the retreat location.
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to cover:
- cancellation
- illness or injury
- travel disruption
Personal Responsibility
Participation in retreat activities is undertaken at your own risk.
We cannot accept liability for loss, damage, injury or illness occurring during the retreat, except where required by law.
Guests are responsible for their own belongings at all times.
Health & Accessibility
Guests are responsible for ensuring they are able to participate in retreat activities.
Any dietary requirements, allergies, or accessibility needs should be shared with us in advance so we can do our best to accommodate them.
Travel Documentation
Guests are responsible for ensuring they have valid passports, visas, and any required health documentation for international travel.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform our obligations where this is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- natural disasters
- government restrictions
- pandemics
- travel disruption
Photography & Media
During the retreat, photographs and/or video may be taken to capture the experience.
By attending the retreat, you consent to the use of these images and recordings by A Yarn Story / Events Unwound for marketing and promotional purposes, including use on our website, social media, and other promotional materials.
If you would prefer not to appear in photographs or videos, please let us know in advance or speak to us during the retreat and we will always respect your wishes.
Privacy
Your personal information will be used only in relation to your retreat booking and to communicate relevant retreat information.
We will not share your data with third parties except where necessary to deliver the retreat or where required by law.
Acceptance of Terms
By completing a booking and paying the required deposit, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
