Heavy Merino is a hard-wearing worsted weight yarn that consists of 100% Merino wool spun in Italy. It's a naturally soft yarn that will add durability and structure to any knitting project.
Knitting for Olive's merino wool comes from sheep bred in Patagonia and is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified. It is temperature-regulating meaning that it keeps our bodies warm in cold weather and releases heat in warm weather. At the same time, wool, like silk, can carry moisture away from the skin and absorb 30% of its weight without feeling wet. It is also dirt-repellent and requires minimal care.
Knitting for Olive yarns are traceable back to the individual farms, which means they know exactly which farms, farmers, and goats their wool comes from.
