Made from fine Portuguese wool, Mondim can also be used for shawls, accessories and lightweight jumpers, and comes in a fantastic range of colours from vivid brights to classic neutrals and variegated shades too.

Yarn for a shawlathon

Got fantastic help in the store. The assistant knew the project I wanted the yarn for and showed me how to take a picture of my choice of yarns and make it black and white to test that it was a shaded gradient of colour, as required in the project.

High-quality affordable workhorse

It’s not the softest yarn but I find it wearable against my skin at least. Knits nicely, blooms beautifully. Good for colourwork and getting a solid fabric without being too heavy. Love the brand’s ethics as well.
