With a dash of whimsy and a pinch of practicality, Tamdou is a cosy asymmetrical triangular shawl that’s perfect for showing off bright colors.
Latticed lace sections are interspersed with garter stitch stripes, and a splash of picot in a contrast color binds off the edge.
The Fiber Company Cumbria Fingering (merino wool, brown masham wool, mohair) creates a fabric that’s both sturdy and soft, with a lovely drape.
This project can be made by an adventurous beginner; comfortable with knitting and purling who wants to give lace work a try.
The kit includes the pattern and yarn needed for this shawl.
Color options:

Pattern Notes
Tamdou is designed to make the most of three skeins of Cumbria Fingering, and to leave over as few as possible. So to make sure you don’t run out of yarn, please check your gauge. If you find you run close, you can simply leave out pattern repeats towards the end of the shawl - that won’t change its overall look.
