October Pattern Edit
Sweater weather has officially arrived here in the UK and all of us at AYS are eager to cast on new projects in celebration of the cooler weather. Below we've compiled some gorgeous pattern inspiration and yarn pairings to get your creative knitting juices flowing!
Let's get cosy in this beautiful ribbed turtleneck. Grab some CaMaRose Snefnug & Midnatssol to create the ultimate in squish and fluff factor. For the chilly among us the Berry Sweater by Norwegian designer Ida Wirak Trettevik is perfect!
We simply adore long classic scarves and this design by Chris Berlin is another perfect pattern for all the colors of CaMaRose Snefnug we want to use! Over the Edge Scarf is designed using six colors but you could definitely choose to use more and less.
Can't get enough of knitting with Snefnug? The Basic Sweater My Size by Trine Bertelsen, owner of CaMaRose, is one of those designs you can throw on to lounge around at house, run errands, or pair with a flowing skirt for a nice dinner out. Talk about a wardrobe staple!
Open Minds by Laura Nelkin caught our attention on Ravelry - a lush combo of fluff and fingering weight yarn in an interesting construction. This was an MKAL back in April and uses mini skeins in the original pattern, making it a great project for stash busting or putting together a fresh new color combo. If you're tempted to this shawl, we highly recommend working with a combination of Isager Silk Mohair and Uschitita Merino Sock or Sweet Georgia Party of Five.
We are loving the gorgeous graphic yoke on Seacross by Becky Baker. As it turns out, we have this sample on display in shop right now if you'd like to come take a look! We have no doubt you'll be impressed by how beautifully The Fibre Co. Lore knits up.
If colourwork isn't your thing but you find yourself eager to knit a textured yoke, look no further than the Bobble Loop Sweater by Kay Hopkins. Designed in one of our shop faves, Julie Asselin Leizu DK, this looks like a fun and very wearable knit.
And last but certainly not least, we have the Thomasina in Magpie Swanky DK by our very own Amanda Jones. You've shown this pattern a lot of love already and we are now happy to announce that it is now available as a digital download on Ravelry alongside the printed version you can purchase from us.
